If there isn’t enough room, wisdom teeth can crowd your existing teeth and mess with their alignment.

Every patient is different which means that recovery times will vary on a case-by-case basis. However, on average, it usually takes around one to two weeks for an area to heal after an extraction. If you have any concerns about your recovery process, please reach out to our office!
You can eat soft foods and liquids following your extraction, such as soups, mashed potatoes, smoothies, and yogurt. However, avoid eating foods that are extremely hot or cold as they can irritate the extraction site. It’s also important to avoid using straws during the healing process as they can cause painful dry socket.
If you’re following a proper aftercare regimen, your blood clot should last as long as it takes for the surrounding gum tissue to heal and close up the wound. On average, the stitches last around seven to ten days, so it’s normal for a blood clot to be gone around that time as well.
